The continuously growing Go North team consists of FBA operators, entrepreneurs and highly driven individuals, who together are creating an ecosystem of e-commerce entrepreneurs, empowered by our expertise.
The Commercial Director for Amazon Marketplaces is a strategically important role for Go North. One that will act as the conductor for the team responsible for the Amazon marketplace commercial strategy and execution. What does success look like in this role? Delivering sustainable profitable growth from our portfolio of brands is the primary objective, whilst enabling the Commercial team to flourish and develop professionally, is equally important.
The role will coordinate and lead all tactical and growth initiatives of our Amazon brands. With the portfolio profit and loss statement at the core, this starts at developing a brand growth plan, onboarding, brand management, performance marketing; on and off Amazon, branding creation and ensuring a healthy and compliant Amazon account.
Key responsibilities include:
Sales and financial performance to exceed our sales and profit budget for our portfolio of +30 Amazon brands
Make capital allocation choices to balance short and long term portfolio performance against business objectives
Lead and develop a global high performing remote team of +20 world class Amazon FBA entrepreneurs and operators
Lead the team to realize the following responsibilities: Ensure seamless onboarding of brands into Go North with clear and committed growth plans
Empower the Brand Management team to own their P&Ls, and enable the team to deliver or exceed on financial targets, through various growth initiatives, including product development and geographical expansion.
Interpret performance marketing reports for Amazon PPC, and off-Amazon marketing channels, and be able to advise and coach the team on budget allocations and mix.
Lead and coordinate Go North’s creative department, the internal Brand Factory, to improve listing conversions, and long term development of Brands
Develop a world class customer service capability
Ensure measures are in place to ensure Amazon listings remain healthy, online, and are reactivated, in a timely way, should or when they are deactivated.
Drives Sales initiatives in line with seasonal and marketplace campaigns (eg. Black Friday/Cyber Mondays)
Lead budgeting and financing planning, in alignment with supply (Netsuite), financial and business planning cycles
Develop and present reports through BI tools (i.e. QlikSense) for vertical (Investor, Senior Management, Board reports) and horizontal (adjacent functions)
Instill an entrepreneurial culture that is underpinned by scalable logic and process mindset.

To enable Go North to continue to scale and be Sweden’s next hyper-growth company, we need people with the following skills:
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of commercial work experience within either the Amazon marketplace, Amazon Aggregator sector, or similar.
Be results and performance driven, with strong people management skills
Personal experience as an Amazon seller yourself, is a plus
An entrepreneurial approach, underpinned with a University degree in a relevant field, preferably within business, ecommerce or marketing
Demonstrated experience with performance marketing, brand building, sales, people management
Experience building brands and engaged communities to lower customer acquisition costs and maximize customer lifetime value.
Experience interacting and reporting, verbally and through reports, with senior leadership levels of the business
Numerical fluency, with the ability to draw quick conclusions and insights from financial and performance reports
Excellent written and verbal communication and English skills
Used to work in a high-paced environment
Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality
This is a permanent position based out of the Gothenborg office. However, for the ideal candidate, we are open to flexible remote working, with a regular presence in Gothenburg. We are a flexible workplace, have like-minded colleagues and have some pretty cool benefits.
